The ASH x FILIP PAGOWSKI capsule collection features special edition sneakers and accessory styles for men and women decorated in artwork designed by graphic artist Filip Pagowski, exclusively for ASH.

Known for his light-hearted biomorphic forms and quirky illustrations, Pagowski’s designs partner perfectly with ASH’s innovative and trend-forward creations. The artist has worked with internationally-renowned fashion houses, brands, publications and design companies including Saks Fifth Avenue, Barneys New York, French newspaper Le Monde and The New York Times. He also created the now iconic heart logo for Japanese fashion house Comme des Garçons PLAY collection.

The collaboration began with several iconic, best-selling ASH sneaker styles for men and women, which were personally selected by Pagowski as a canvas for his artwork. He then created two very distinct designs for the collection - the more youthful and playful “Flame,” and the fashion-forward, graphic “Tweed.” Pagowski also designed custom shoe boxes and shopping totes, which are complimentary with purchases of these special edition items.

“I wanted it to be visually interesting, but also surprising, so I developed an artistic look with colours and graphics. I thought the concept of the “Tweed” design would translate well onto a sneaker and liked this idea of playing with various elements that make up the pattern such as the herringbone. In contrast, the “Flame” design is more graphic, with colours of white, black and yellow, and bigger design elements. It covers every square inch of the shoe.”says Pagowski.

The bold designs will also cover a range of fun and iconic products including T-shirts, socks, bags and pouches, which can be mixed and matched according to an individual’s personal style.

“It really depends on how you style them – I wanted to create something that would give room for styling and individuality so that people can play around with the products and have fun,”adds Pagowski.
